To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the number of whole-time equivalent teachers in primary, special and post-primary schools; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Reply

Statistics in relation to teacher numbers and pupil enrolment are published annually by my Department on its website. The most recent published statistics relate to the 2012/2013 school year. Statistics for the 2013/14 school year are due to be published before the end of August.
