To ask the Minister for Finance the general budget deficit in each of the past eight years; his forecast for the budget deficit over each of the next three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter

The reported general government balance for the period 2007-2013 and the projected figures for 2014-2018 as per Budget 2015 are:
