Capital grants for Matt Talbot Adolescent Centre and Meitheal Mara will benefit young people in Cork

I am very pleased that a €6,371 capital grant for the Matt Talbot Adolescent Centre and a €3,880 grant for Meitheal Mara will benefit young people in Cork.

“The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs has announced capital grants for 86 youth projects and organisations around the country and I am delighted that the Matt Talbot Adolescent Centre and Meitheal Mara are to receive funding. This capital grant will really boost the services of the Organisations and so will be of great benefit to young people in Cork.

“Youth projects and organisations such as the Matt Talbot Adolescent Centre and Meitheal Mara play a crucial role in supporting young people throughout the country. It is hugely important that the Government continues to acknowledge their work and provide funding so that they can maintain and in some cases expand their services.

“We are working hard in Government to ensure that our recovering economy is used in the right way. This means making sure that everyone benefits, particularly vulnerable people or those who need extra support.”
