Young musicians in Ballyphehane to benefit from Bursary Scheme – Buttimer

A welcome announcement by Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton TD, sees the naming of the organisations that will receive a grant under the newly established Non-mainstream Music Education Bursary Scheme 2017.

The grant, which is funded by the Department of Education and Skills, will provide assistance to 29 community initiatives that work with children and young people across the country.

“I am delighted that €2,500 has been awarded to CCE Club Cheoil in Ballyphehane. As an integral part of the community the grant will provide access for young people and children to varied music education experiences without any significant funding.”

“It is great to see such bursary schemes that help smaller scale music education and community initiatives and organisations to nurture our many talented young musicians”.
