Investing in Cork

Home / Local Issues / Investing in Cork

Over the last five years this Government has invested in Cork’s communities and infrastructure. Over €100 million has been invested in Cork schools and sport’s clubs across the county have benefitted from the reinstatement of Sports Capital Grants.

We have committed funding to the Cork Event Centre, which will be built on the Beamish & Crawford Brewery site, and the redevelopment of Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

When it comes to roads we invested in the flyovers at Bandon and Sarsfield Roads and the recent capital plan has committed funding to the Dunkettle
Interchange and upgrading the N28 Cork-Ringaskiddy Road.
